Our first week of summer camp was a hit with all the kids. We did adventure week. We made smores, learned orienteering skills from Ronda Plummer with BSA, and took a hike in the woods behind our facility.
During our second week, we learned engineering skills. The kids built box forts, designed race cars, and built towers and buildings using a variety of blocks.
In our third week, the kids have made fairy or gnome doors, rainbow shaving cream art, and clothespin dragons. They were a little disappointed yesterday since we did not get to do water day due to the lockdown, but the kids were great about it. They stayed inside without too much complaining, watched movies, and played games.
We can't wait to see how the upcoming weeks go—hopefully, no more lockdowns but lots more fun.
